The goggles

Safety goggles that see what you see.

Put them on and work normally. Kestrel writes the notebook and answers when you ask.

Writes the notebook.

Every step, part and connection, timestamped, with frames from the video. You edit; you don't start from a blank page.

Talks you through it.

Ask out loud from your phone: "What's this connector?" Kestrel answers from what it sees through the goggles.

Catches what you'd miss.Soon

A skipped step, a swapped reagent, a miswired connection, flagged while the run can still be saved.

01 / START

Start a session.

Tap start on your phone. The goggles begin recording.

02 / WORK

Work like you always do.

Kestrel follows along through the goggles. Ask it anything out loud as you go.

03 / REVIEW

Read the journal.

Kestrel writes up the session when you finish. Every entry links back to the moment in the video.

The problem

Documentation is half the work,
and it still misses things.

It eats the day.

Researchers we've talked to spend a big share of their time writing up work instead of doing it.

Writing during the work breaks focus.

Gloved hands, timers running, a step that can't wait.

Writing it afterward loses the details.

You remember that it worked, not the small fix that made it work, and a forgotten step can mean redoing the whole experiment.

FAQ

Questions labs ask.

Is Kestrel recording all the time?

No. Only while a session is running, and you start and stop it from your phone.

Where does my video go?

Recordings and journals are kept for your lab. To run the live call and write the journal, the session's video and voice are processed by our AI provider. Nothing joins our data program unless you choose to contribute it.

Do I have to share my data?

No. The data program is opt-in, per session, and paid.

Does it work with gloves?

Yes. You talk to it; there's nothing to type.

What labs is it for?

Wet labs and engineering or hardware labs running repeatable procedures.

Can I wear them as my safety goggles?

Pilot units are worn alongside your lab's standard eye protection.

How much does it cost?

Pilots are free for early partner labs. Contact us for pricing.
